Since no one picked it up, google had to reveal it in their official blog. Apparently the google mobile app we saw previously has a hidden menu (easter egg) that offers some customizations. To access this hidden menu you need to keep scrolling the Google App Setting page. While the same would sound stupid, but the menu appears in a matter of few seconds.
